President, Association of Lithuanian banks
Mantas Zalatorius was born in Vilnius, Lithuania in 1972. He graduated from Vilnius University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2001 he obtained MBA degree from Copenhagen Business School and INSEAD (CALT).
Since 1994, Mr. Zalatorius worked at the Swedish Trade Council, as Investment Project Manager and from 1999 he served as the Executive Director of The Swedish Trade Council In Lithuania. Since 2008, Mantas Zalatorius was responsible for operations in the Baltic states.
In 2014 Mantas Zalatorius was appointed as Vice President and Head of Region for Central and Eastern Europe at the Swedish Trade and Invest Council with placement in Stockholm.
In September 2017 Mantas Zalatorius was appointed as President of Association of Lithuanian banks.
Mr. Zalatorius has extensive cross cultural leadership and strategic advisory experience. He has worked with largest Nordic firms, assisting them to enter and expand in the Baltics and Eastern Europe by establishing new or acquiring existing companies within ICT, energy, media, finance and defense industries.
Since January 2012, Mr. Zalatorius served as Independent Director of the Board of state owned enterprise VAE (currently Lietuvos Energija), one of the largest energy companies in the Baltic states. He also served on KB Components, Scandic Hotels and other companies’ Boards of Directors. He also worked pro bono on UNICEF Lithuania National Committee Board as well as on the Board of Ambersail yacht club.
M. Zalatorius speaks English, Swedish and Russian. His mother tongue is Lithuanian.
Mr. Zalatorius is awarded with Swedish Royal Order of Polar Star, Knight 1st Class (KNOR1K).
